Although these are very nice photos, I think there was a misunderstanding with the assignment last week. (I too had difficulties with this assignment.) We were supposed to post 2 photos of the same image; one with the background out of focus, the other with the foreground out of focus. The third picture was to be a creative image using limited DOF. I like the texture and dimension illustrated in each image. The third image in particular gives the illusion of a three dimensional object rising from the photo with the trees out of focus and the focual point being the bottom edge of the right brick. The first picture my eye is slightly caught on what appears to be a shadow of trees within the grooves of the white surface; I think if this photo was taken when the sun was higher, or the camera was back an inch further the shadow would be more noticiable.
All in all, these photos are great, I can't wait see more of what you capture!
